The history of the present giants of Social Media is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over this internet. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

  They have refused their Assent to Privacy Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

  They have thrown together Terms of Service in language unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the common understanding, for the sole purpose of fatiguing us into compliance with their measures.

  They have dissolved Ethics bodies repeatedly, for opposing with firmness their invasions on the rights of the people.

  They have refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Ethics powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

  They have obstructed the Administration of Oversight, by refusing their Assent to Laws for establishing Supervisory powers.

  They have commoditized our most valuable resource of Attention, and sold it to the highest bidder at great expense to our Sanity.

  They have combined with others to subject us to an internet foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our norms; giving their Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

  For Quartering large bodies of inflammatory trolls among us:

  For protecting them, by trivial counter-measures, from punishment for any Crimes which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these Networks:

  For cutting off our Community with all parts of the natural world:

  For imposing Trackers on us without our Consent:

  For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of non-algorithmically curated Information:

  For transporting us beyond Worlds to be sedated by pretend realities

  For taking away our Privacy, abolishing our most valuable Services, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Beings:

  For suspending our own Willpower, and declaring themselves invested with power to curate for us in all cases whatsoever.

  They have abdicated Responsibility here, by declaring extremist user content out of their purview and waging Electronic War against us.

  They have excited domestic insurrections amongst us.

  They have plundered our attention, ravaged our Community, burnt our sites, and destroyed the welfare of our people.

  They are at this time building sophisticated Technologies of virtual worlds to compleat the works of distraction, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Greed & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Giants of a civilized internet.

We, therefore, do solemnly publish and declare, That this Internet is, and of Right out to be Free and Independent; that its people are Absolved from all Allegiance to the Social Media sites, and that all connection between it and Social Media, is and ought to be totally dissolved.
